STANAL-40A is а lead-free alloy, developed in compliance with RoHS, and with very good processing properties and high mechanical properties. Short processing times even for complex part can be achieved when processing using chip extraction.
Features:
Good machinability.

Anodization
- Protective anodised good
- Decorative anodizing – good, with no guarantee of decorative properties (eg color ) , it is recommended to make tests in advance.
Corrosion resistance
- Good / Average - under normal atmospheric conditions
- Moderate / Low – when exposed to marine climate / saltwater / Corrosion resistance is comparable to that of the alloys of the 2000 series containing lead .
Corrosion resistance can be improved by anodizing.
Welding – - no / low.
weldability It is not suitable for mechanically stressed connecting elements.
